Haryana Govt : Farmers of Haryana have got relief. The government has now announced the date after former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda and former Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala accused the Nayab Saini government of the state of not disclosing the date of procurement of wheat and mustard.

This much MSP will be given on wheat and mustard

Regarding the Rabi season 2024–25, the state government has announced to start the purchase of mustard from March 26 and wheat from April 1. The government said that farmers will not face any problem and all preparations for the procurement process have been completed. Mustard has a minimum support price (MSP) of Rs 5650 per quintal, while wheat has a minimum support price (MSP) of Rs 2275 per quintal.

Payment will be made into farmers' accounts

HAFED and Haryana Warehousing Corporation will purchase government mustard. 106 mandias/purchase centers have been created for mustard. This time 14.28 lakh tonnes of mustard is likely to arrive in the mandis. This time too, payment for crop purchase will be made directly into the bank accounts of farmers through DBT.

417 markets ready to buy wheat

This time 417 procurement centers have been created to purchase wheat. Cash credit limit of Rs 7300 crore has been approved. So that farmers can get payment for purchasing wheat quickly. There is also a bail facility for purchasing wheat. This bale has been sent to the Food and Supplies Department, HAFED and Haryana State Warehousing Corporation. Crop procurement will be done on the basis of data available on Meri Fasal-Mera Byora portal.

Procurement of gram and barley starts from this date

Also, from April 1, the government will start purchasing barley and gram. Eleven markets have been set up for the purchase of gram and twenty-five purchase centers for the purchase of barley. For the convenience of farmers, helpline number 1800- 180- 2600 has been set up in the office of Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, Panchkula.
