Railway Line Will Pass Through 111 Villages, Acquisition Started

 

New Railway Lines: Many new railway lines were inaugurated in Uttar Pradesh, work on which is still going on at a rapid pace. The new railway line will benefit people in many districts. The work of Doharighat-Sahjanwa railway line has started. Chief Administrative Officer of NRE Railway has notified the acquisition of 43 hectares of land for the 11 km long railway line in Sahjanwa area. In the same year, the Railway Ministry included the Sahjanwa-Dohrighat new railway line in the special railway line project. After this, the process is accelerated.

Dohrighat-Sahjanwa railway line will be built in four years. This project will be completed in three phases. In the first phase, the target is to build a 27 km railway line from Sahjanwa to Baidauli by March 2024. In the second phase, it is planned to build a 29 km railway line from Baidauli to Gola Bazar by March 2025. The target is to complete the third and final phase by March 2026. In this, a 25.5 km railway line will be built from Golabazar to New Dohrighat. The process has started with the announcement of land acquisition. The Sahjanwa-Dohrighat new railway line was approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 17 December 2019. The budget of Rs 1320 crore was also approved by the cabinet.

Rs 205 crores have been received in this time's budget

NER has received Rs 205 crore in the current budget for this project. Once the budget is received, the land acquisition work will speed up. 10 big and 47 small bridges will be built on this 81 km long line. These include the largest bridge on the Saryu River. Which will be between Dohrighat and Barhalganj.

Railway line will pass through 111 villages, acquisition started

Doharighat-Sahjanwa new railway line will pass through 111 villages of Mau and Gorakhpur districts. The acquisition process has started. 359 acres of land from these villages is to be acquired for laying the railway line. North Eastern Railway has handed over the records of the identified land to the district administration. After this the district administration has started the acquisition work.

Distance from Gorakhpur to Varanasi will reduce

With the laying of the new railway line, the distance from Gorakhpur to Varanasi will be reduced. Trains will also start running from Gorakhpur to Varanasi, Prayagraj and Lucknow via Dohrighat. Dohrighat will be connected to Mau and Varanasi railway line via Indara. A network of railway lines will be laid in Purvanchal.
