Weather Update: Rain Possibility in These States of Country, Meteorological Department issued Alert
Weather Update: An apparent low pressure area over the south-eastern Bay of Bengal moved west-northwestwards and concentrated into a depression in the last 12 hours.
At 5:30 am IST on December 1, it lay centered at 9.1 north latitude and 86.4 degrees east longitude over the south-east and south-west Bay of Bengal.
It is approximately 790 km east southeast of Puducherry, 800 km southeast of Chennai, 990 km southeast of Bapatla and 970 km southeast of Machilipatnam. It may turn into a deep depression by December 2. And may turn into a cyclonic storm over the south-west Bay of Bengal on 3 December.
After this it will move in north-westerly direction and may cross Andhra Pradesh and North Tamil Nadu coast around the evening of 4th December.
A cyclonic circulation is forming in and around north-western Rajasthan. A cyclonic circulation extending up to 5.8 km above sea level extends over the south-western Bay of Bengal and adjoining southern Sri Lanka.
The cyclonic circulation is developing over the northeastern Arabian Sea off the coast of Maharashtra.

Changes in weather in the next 24 hours
Moderate to heavy rain may occur over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, parts of Tamil Nadu and coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain may occur over Kerala, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, parts of Vidarbha, Marathwada and Central Maharashtra.
Light rain may occur in Bihar, eastern Uttar Pradesh and western Himalayas. Light snowfall may occur in the upper parts of the Western Himalayas.

The weather of the country has changed in the last 24 hours.
In the last 24 hours, moderate to heavy rainfall occurred over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh and south coast of Tamil Nadu.
Light to moderate rainfall occurred over parts of southern Tamil Nadu, southern Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Vidarbha, Marathwada, south central Maharashtra, Punjab and Haryana.
Light to moderate rainfall and snowfall occurred in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad. There was some rain in Uttarakhand.
