Demand for edible oil decreased in India

There has been a decline in the demand for edible oil in the largest edible oil importing country like India. Is being told. That in India, ships filled with edible oil have been standing at Kandla port for almost two months. Oil has not been emptied from those ships even for two months. Due to this, importers also have to pay demurrage tax in foreign currency. Importers are selling oil at the port at prices below cost to keep their bank letters of credit running. Due to this, banks may face problems in repaying their loans.

• Last week, the price of mustard seeds has decreased by Rs 200 from Rs 5,450 to Rs 5,500 per quintal.
• The price of Mustard Dadri oil has decreased from Rs 675 to Rs 10,000 per quintal.
• The prices of mustard pure and raw ghani oil have fallen by Rs 75 each to Rs 1,705 and Rs 1,800 per tin respectively.

• The prices of soybean grains and loose beans fell by Rs 140-40 to Rs 5,065 and Rs 5,160 per quintal respectively.
• Soybean Delhi, Soybean Indore and Soybean Digam oil prices declined by Rs 410, Rs 375 and Rs 325 to Rs 9,750, 9,700 and Rs 8,025 per quintal respectively.

• The prices of Groundnut Oilseeds, Groundnut Gujarat and Groundnut Solvent Refined closed at Rs 7,340, Rs 7,390 and Rs 17,800 per tin respectively.
• The price of palm oil has fallen by Rs 310 to Rs 7,900 per quintal.
• The price of Palmolein Delhi fell by Rs 223 to Rs 9,150 per quintal and the price of Palmolein X Kandla fell by Rs 300 to Rs 8,250 per quintal.
• At present, the price of cottonseed oil has also decreased by Rs 650 to Rs 8,450 per quintal.
