Yuva Patrkaar, New Delhi : There is great news for those who shop for gold and silver. The current price of 10 grams of 22 carat gold in Bihar's capital Patna is Rs.55,700. While the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold in bullion market is Rs 62,400. According to Patna's bullion trader Anil Gupta, a fall of Rs 200 has been recorded in the price of gold today. But the price of silver per kg remains unchanged.

There has been a decrease in the rate of gold.

Till last evening, 22 carat gold was selling at Rs 55,900 per 10 grams, but today it has increased to Rs 55,700. Similarly, on May 26, people bought 24 carat gold at Rs 62,600 per 10 grams, but today its price has gone up to Rs 62,400.

The price of silver is stable today.

Today i.e. till Saturday (May 27) the price of silver remains the same as yesterday. Silver is being sold at Rs 69,000 per kg.

What is the difference between 22 carat and 24 carat gold?

24 carat gold is 99.9% pure. Whereas 22 carat gold is about 91% pure. Jewelery is made by mixing 22 carat gold with 9% other metals, such as copper, silver and zinc. Because 24 carat gold is very pure to make jewelry. This is the reason why most vendors sell 22 carat gold instead of 24 carat.
