Haryana News: Anil Vij said that to provide electricity to the cantonment, he added a sub-station in Tepla and provided electricity from the rest of Haryana. For drinking water, canal water was arranged 18 km away. Now due to inclusion of villages in the Municipal Council area, new canal pipelines are being laid. Water is being laid up to the second floor of Kalrehri at the extreme end of the cantonment without motor vehicles reaching it.

Vij said that in the recently held flood control meeting, permission has been given to concrete the Cantonment Maheshnagar canal. The Irrigation Department has already given permission for drainage in its area. Whereas drainage has been allowed in the municipal area. In future, machines will enter the drains and clean them, which will improve the cleanliness. Similarly, the dam being built on Tangri river towards the industrial area will also be concrete. He claimed that the Tangri river would be 10 to 10 feet deep. The flood control meeting has approved Rs 22 crore for this work.

Vij said that the Municipal Council has built 260 roads in the cantonment at a cost of Rs 65.38 crore. Whereas the Public Works Department has built 24 roads at a cost of Rs 42.15 crore. 90.87 km road will be built in the cantonment by both the departments. He further said that electricity, water, drainage, roads and sanitation are all important. These facilities are given on priority basis.
