Chief Minister Horticulture Insurance Scheme: Farmers Should Not Take Tension in Case of Crop Failure, Full Compensation Will Be Given Under This Govt Scheme

 
Portal of 'Chief Minister Horticulture Insurance Scheme' Launched

Mahendragarh :- Haryana government has launched many schemes for financial assistance to farmers. The Haryana government is making continuous efforts to ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach every farmer of the state. Haryana Government has launched Chief Minister Horticulture Insurance Scheme (MBBY) to compensate for the loss of crops due to natural disasters. To avail the benefits of this scheme, first of all the farmer will have to register on ‘Meri Fasal Mera Byora’ portal.

Registration will have to be done on the government portal of MBBY.

Giving information, Deputy Commissioner Monica Gupta said that under this scheme, crops destroyed due to natural disasters are compensated. He told that under this scheme, the cultivation of fruits will be insured at the rate of Rs 40,000 per acre and the cultivation of vegetables and spices will be insured at the rate of Rs 3000 per acre. Farmers interested in the scheme will have to register on mbby.hort.haryana.gov.in.

Fruits and vegetables included in MBBY scheme

Under the Chief Minister Horticulture Insurance Scheme, tomato, onion, melon, watermelon, carrot, ladyfinger, mango, plum, kinnow, guava, potato, pomegranate and many other types of fruits, spices and vegetables have been included. To avail the benefits of this scheme run by the government, farmers will have to pay a premium of Rs 750 per acre for vegetables and spices and Rs 1000 per acre for fruits. To avail the benefits of the scheme, details of damaged crops will have to be entered on the portal within 72 hours.

Get your registration done before these dates

Monica Gupta told that from 1 September to 31 January for strawberry, from 15 September to 31 January for potato, carrot, cauliflower, cabbage, pea and radish, from 15 January to 15 March for watermelon, melon, tinda, pumpkin and capsicum. For chilli, get registered from 15th November to 31st January, for pumpkin from 1st March to 31st May, to avail the benefit of loss of Malta, lemon and orange crops. Otherwise, you will not be able to avail the benefits of this scheme after the stipulated time.
