Delhi Metro: Another Station Will Be Built on This Metro Line, DMRC Gave This information
Delhi Metro: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has prepared a proposal to build a new metro station on the Silver Line (Tughlakabad to Aerocity) being built in Metro Phase-IV. Which has been sent to Delhi Government for approval. This station will be built between Sangam Vihar and Anandamayi Marg. There is a distance of about 3.7 km between the two stations.
The Silver Line corridor is 23.6 km long. A total of 15 metro stations are being built on this. Most of it is underground. Only 4.3 km stretch is to be made elevated. If sources are to be believed, the distance between all the stations except two on this corridor is about 1 to 1.5 km. The distance between Sangam Vihar and Anandamayi Marg station alone is about 3.7 km. The corridor between the two stations was earlier to pass through Mehrauli Badarpur Road, but due to the protected zone, its design had to be changed.
These stations will be on the Silver Line
Aerocity, Mahipalpur, Vasant Kunj, Kishangarh, Chhattarpur, Chhattarpur Mandir, IGNOU, Neb Sarai, Saket G Block, Ambedkar Nagar, Khanpur, Sangam Vihar, Anandamayi Marg, Tughlakabad Railway Colony, Tughlakabad.
Changes had to be made in the design of the corridor
Earlier, where this corridor was passing, Tughlaqabad Fort, Ghiyasuddin's Mosque, Adilabad Fort and Barber's Coat were coming there. Due to this, Delhi Metro had to change its design. These stations were away from many residential areas of Mehrauli Badarpur, Sangam Vihar, Prahladpur villages. If sources are to be believed, after the demand from the local representatives, the Delhi government had asked the Metro to build a new station between the two stations. Metro has sent a proposal on this.

Double decker flyover being constructed
The special thing on the Silver Line is this. That a double decker flyover is also being constructed on this corridor. With this, the metro will run above the pillar and there will also be a flyover of 2.4 km below it. This flyover will be built between Sangam Vihar Tigri and Ambedkar Nagar metro station. Apart from this, a 430 meter long six-lane underpass will be built near Saket G Block and Mandir Marg crossing.
