Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NRC) will soon give Rs 20 lakh to DMRC for preparing the DPR. If official sources are to be believed, DMRC has not yet submitted the DPR due to financial constraints.

DMRC has prepared this survey report about five months ago. The plan of the entire route has been shared verbally with NMRC officials. Only written DPR is yet to be received.

Officials said that eight stations will be built on this line, the locations of which are almost decided. The metro station will be built in front of the new administrative office of Noida Authority in Sector-96.

This will expand the Aqua Line. People traveling from Noida-Delhi to Greater Noida will get more convenience by running metro on this line. Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) currently runs the Aqua Line. The metro starts from Sector-51 and goes till Greater Noida Depot.

People coming from Delhi on Blue Line will have to get down at Sector-52 station. The new metro line will go from Sector-142 to Botanical Garden. At present, the stations of Blue and Magenta Line running between Noida-Delhi are in Botanical Garden. This will now be the third station of the Aqua Line.

NMRC Managing Director Dr. Lokesh M. said, “DMRC is working on preparing the DPR of the metro line from Sector-142 to Botanical Garden.

DMRC will soon get Rs 20 lakh for DPR. Necessary processes will be expedited as soon as the complete report is received.

The cost of this metro line will be approximately Rs 1800 crore. The central government will give 20 percent and the state government will give 20 percent. Noida-Greater Noida authorities together will bear half the money.

Building a station will cost approximately Rs 20 crore. Except the metro station of Sector-44, the remaining six stations will be built on Sector Road near the expressway, which also includes Botanical Garden.
