Delhi Ring Road: Delhi Will Get Another Gift of Ring Road Soon, Know What Will Be Route
Delhi Ring Road: Delhiites will soon get the third ring road. Nearly seventy percent of the long-pending Urban Extension Road (UIR-2) project has been completed. The work was to be completed by September, but due to delays it should now be completed in December.
Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said the completion of Dwarka Expressway and Urban Extension Road 2 (from North Delhi to Alipore) in the next six months will reduce the traffic burden on the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway and the entire NCR. Traffic will improve significantly.

The 6-lane road project, called the Master Plan of Delhi, is proposed in 2021 to reduce congestion on the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway and the existing Ring Road. UER-II will be constructed at a cost of Rs 7,716 crore under Delhi's decongestion plan. The project will have 27 flyovers and 11 underpasses.

1 million metric tons of garbage
Approximately 1 million metric tons of inert waste material was used in the construction of UER II. An official associated with the project said. Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) provided about 11 lakh metric tonnes of inert waste for this.

UER-II will provide another route to Delhi. This will reduce traffic on Delhi from North Indian states like Punjab, North Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Officials said UER-II will ply vehicles from the outskirts of Delhi from West Delhi to South Delhi.

The urban road expansion project is being built in five packages
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said the Outer Ring Road, called Urban Extension Road 2, from IGI Airport to Alipore in North Delhi. Will be completed in the next six months. With its construction, travel time in both the areas will be reduced by 20 percent. , which is currently 3 hours.

The 75.71 km urban extension road project in Delhi is being built in five different packages. UER-II is very important in this. About seventy percent of the project has been completed so far. An NHAI official said that Mangeshpur drain is facing problems due to construction of pillars in Package-2. That's why work is slow. The construction work will be completed by December 2023.
