Delhi Weather Update: Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) says. Dense to very dense fog is likely over North India during the next four to five days. Northeast monsoon rains will also end over southern peninsular India (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana) from January 14.

It was cold in the capital of Delhi on Monday morning also. The lowest temperature of winter today was 3.5 degrees Celsius. Weather officials said that there was fog at many places in the city. IMD has issued orange cold wave alert for both today and tomorrow. There will be moderate fog in Delhi till January.

It will be colder in these states

IMDI said cold to severe cold is likely at isolated places over Uttar Pradesh and parts of Bihar, Haryana on January 14 and 15. Meanwhile, there is a possibility of heavy cold wave in some parts of Punjab from January 14 to January 1.

Traffic will be affected due to snowfall in Himachal Pradesh

The western monsoon is also making changes in Himachal Pradesh. Some snow fell on the mountains amid severe cold. On January 16, the Meteorological Department has issued the latest forecast. According to which there may be rain in low-lying areas. And there may be snowfall in higher areas. Yellow alert of dense smog has been issued in seven districts of the state, Mandi, Kangra, Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Solan and Sirmaur.

Red alert issued in UP

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in Uttar Pradesh due to cold winds. There will be cold wave in Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Western Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow for the next two days. On January 15, i.e. today, there will be heavy fog in all the districts from Western Uttar Pradesh to Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The weather department has also warned.

Red alert was issued in nine districts of Haryana on Monday. Colored alerts have been issued in 12 districts. There is a possibility of dense fog and cold days in the coming days.
