Haryana Metro: Citizens of Faridabad Smart City are expecting the start of metro rail service between Gurugram and Faridabad in the new year. The state government is expected to provide funds to Metro Rail in next year's budget. But at present it is limited to Detailed Project Report (DPR).

While people are waiting for this metro rail project to start. In 2014, Chief Minister Manohar Lal announced on social media to connect Faridabad-Gurugram by metro rail. The Chief Minister had also formally announced this in 2015.

Ahead of the 2018 Lok Sabha elections, Union Minister of State Krishnapal Gurjar said in a press conference that the metro rail service would start in 2021. But the year 2023 is also going to pass amidst many claims of the public representatives. Since then, the budget for starting the metro rail service has not been made yet. Therefore the metro rail plan remains incomplete.

The length of the metro route is 32.14 km.

As per current information, the Faridabad-Gurugram metro route is 32.14 km. There is a plan to build twelve metro rail stations on this route. The metro rail service from Bata Chowk to Gurugram will start from here. Of these, six metro rail stations will be built on the border of Faridabad and Gurugram.

Next year, considering the expectations of the people, the government will give the budget for Metro Rail. On the other hand, the government has also conducted a survey of metro rail between Palwal and Ballabhgarh. The survey of this metro rail will be completed next year also.

Demand to run metro for Greater Faridabad also
