Chandigarh :- Cow is our mother. Crores of gods and goddesses reside in cows. As you know. This ideology has been prevalent since ancient times. For a long time, lumpy virus was spreading rapidly among cows, although at present there has been a slight decrease in the cases of lumpy virus. On the instructions of UP CM Yogi Adityanath, the Animal Husbandry Department has ordered to provide indigenous vaccines to the cows in the cow shed.

Lumpy cases were being found every day in Yogi's cowshed.

Officials of the Animal Husbandry Department have taken 15,000 doses of the indigenous vaccine prepared in Haryana from the National Equine Research Center in Hisar. Not only this, demand has been made for 1 lakh doses. Which are being prepared in the laboratory. CM Yogi's cowshed is in Gorakhdham temple of Gorakhpur. In this cow shed, even after the cows were vaccinated against cow pox, two to three cases of lumpy virus were being found every day.

The number of cases reduced after the introduction of indigenous vaccine.

As soon as the CM of UP came to know about the vaccine made by the scientists of Indian Veterinary Research Institute and National Animal Research Center, Hisar under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, he immediately contacted the scientists and a team of scientists from the Equine Research Center of Hisar sent UP Called and the team vaccinated 450 cows with the indigenous vaccine “Lumpi Pro Vac”. After which lumpy cases stopped coming to the cow shed.

Special campaign will be run from 5th September to 12th September

Dr. Naveen Kumar, Principal Scientist of the National Equine Research Institute, said that one of his teams had gone to UP and successfully vaccinated about 450 cows there, and now cases of lumpy have stopped coming to Gorakhdham Gaushala. CM Yogi Adityanath praised the scientists of Haryana. Meanwhile, UP's Additional Chief Secretary Rajneesh Dubey ordered all Divisional Commissioners, District Magistrates and Animal Husbandry Departments to run a special campaign for the control of lumpy disease from September 5 to September 12.
