IMD Weather Update Today 25 November 2023 : Most of the states of the country are in the grip of cold and rain. At some places people are seen protecting themselves from the harsh cold and at other places people are seen protecting themselves from the rain. But there is no relief from this yet, the Meteorological Department has today issued a rain alert in 8 states of the country. Along with this, the possibility of strong wind and hailstorm has also been expressed.

Yellow rain alert for Maharashtra, Gujarat

While issuing the forecast, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert of heavy rain for the coastal areas of Gujarat and Maharashtra. It may rain in Mumbai today from Saturday to Monday. Apart from this, there are indications of rain in Thane Raigarh and Palghar on Saturday and Sunday.

Rain alert issued in these 8 states

Apart from Maharashtra and Gujarat, IMD has predicted rain in Madhya Pradesh, South Rajasthan, Goa, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Apart from this, meteorologists have also said that there is a possibility of lightening and thundershowers in many states.

A low pressure area likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal

The Meteorological Department has said that a cyclonic circulation is seen emerging in the South Andaman Sea and its surrounding areas on Sunday. The emergence of this area is likely to lead to the formation of a low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal around November 27 under its influence. In view of the change in weather, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the South Andaman Sea for the next two days.
