After a long time, the trial run of the first phase of the Metro Rail project at a cost of Rs 7500 crore has been successfully completed here. On 14 September 2019, the foundation stone for the first phase of the metro rail project was laid. After the work was completed rapidly day by day, its trial run could be done in September 2023.

This is how the work was completed

After laying the foundation of the first phase in 2019, the work remained stuck for some time but after that the 6.3 km long Metro Biotech was constructed within 484 days. After this, tracks were laid in just 4 months and within 27 days, turnout work of 13 tracks was completed and their electrification has also been done. It took 5 months to construct the metro rail coach and 45 days to complete the working of the traction third rail. Four escalators have also been installed here. Which was prepared in just 23 days. This work done with enthusiasm and passion will provide the best facilities to the citizens.

Metro will run on these routes

Apart from running the metro train from Indore to Pithampur, it will also be extended to Ujjain. Along with this, it will also go from Rau to Rajendra Nagar, RR Cat and Ranjit Ranuman Temple.

Underground elevated metro station will be built

Under the Metro Rail Project, Ranjit Hanuman Temple is going to be connected to Rajwada and Bada Ganpati. The underground route will also be included in this, which will be prepared from Bada Ganpati to Rajwada. Apart from this, Pithampur part will also be connected to it. Keeping in mind the convenience of passengers, an elevated metro station is going to be built. With its help one can easily reach from one station to another.

Metropolitan authority will be formed

After the successful trial run of the metro, its operation will be started for the passengers in the coming 5 to 6 months. A metropolitan authority will also be formed by combining Indore and its surrounding cities. From Indore, this metro will run to industrial area Pithampur and religious city Ujjain. It has been resolved to run the metro up to Ujjain before the Simhastha to be held in Ujjain in the year 2028. Similarly, Indore and its surrounding areas will be declared a metropolitan authority so that their development can take place rapidly.

Cheaper travel on two wheeler

The initial phase of operation of Metro Rail in Indore has been completed. Which will soon be converted into a 31 kilometer route. A total of five stations are going to be built here. Out of which the work of three is currently incomplete. Which will take 6 months to complete. At present the trial run has been done in the part. It is difficult to find travelers there. Therefore, efforts are being made to complete the work of 17.5 km of robot intersection from Gandhinagar and start it soon.

The most special thing about this metro project is this. That it will completely eliminate the gap between rich and poverty. What will be the fare to travel in this has not been decided at present. But this is being told. That passengers will be able to travel by metro at less than the cost of a two-wheeler.

1. The best facilities will be provided to the passengers in the train running on the 31 kilometer metro route built at a cost of Rs 7500 crore. This journey will be fast and safe in which passengers will be able to reach their destination in a very short time safely.
2. There will be an automatic ticket system here, so that passengers will not need to wait.
3. Escalator and lift facilities will be available at the station. Besides, wheelchair facility will also be provided for disabled passengers.
4. Announcement will be made at the station regarding the arrival and departure of the train in both Hindi and English languages so that passengers can get proper information about it.
5. A customer care center will also be started so that passengers can easily get information regarding metro rail travel and in case of any problem, they can get solution to it.
6. Solar energy will also be promoted in this project of Metro Rail and solar energy will be produced at stations and depots.
7. All public facilities including food, water, waiting room, toilets will be available to the passengers.
8. An emergency gate will be available in every coach of Metro Rail, which can be used in case of emergency.
9. An emergency communication system will also be installed in every coach, through which help can be contacted in case of any adverse situation.
