News Lucknow : Section 144 implemented in UP Capital Lucknow Till December 31, Police Alerted

Lucknow : Section 144 has been imposed from Thursday to ensure security arrangements for the upcoming festival in Lucknow, the capital of UP. JCP Upendra Aggarwal has issued guidelines to Lucknow Police Commissionerate to remain alert regarding Section 144. Besides, there will be a ban on horse carts, tractor-trolleys etc. on the roads leading to the Legislative Assembly. This order will remain in force from today till 31 December 2023.
JCP Upendra Aggarwal told that from November 2 to December 31, 2023, various programs and festivals as well as various entrance examinations are being organized. At present, in view of the programs organized by various party workers/Indian farmer organizations and various protesters, Section 144 under Prohibitory Order is being imposed to maintain peace in Lucknow. During this period, legal action will be taken if five or more people gather in any public place.

There will be strictness on the routes leading to Vidhan Bhavan
- Under Section 144, there will be a complete ban on carrying tractors, tractor-trolleys, horse carts, bullock carts, buffalo carts, tonga carts along with weapons, inflammable substances, cylinders etc. within the perimeter of Vidhan Bhavan.
- Along with this, any kind of protest demonstration on the route going there will be completely banned.
- Shooting from drones within a radius of one kilometer above and around government offices and assembly buildings will also be completely prohibited. Also, if any kind of protest demonstration in Lucknow is held at any place other than the designated protest site (Eco Garden) without permission, action will be taken as per rules. Will go.
