Proposal Sent For Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Expressway
Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Expressway: Now Agra will get an additional expressway. A proposal to build Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Expressway has been sent. The proposal has been made by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). And it has been handed over to the government.
Due to the efforts of Yogi government, Agra will get a third highway. Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Expressway is being built by the National Highway Authority of India. With the establishment of this expressway, Agra will be reached from Gwalior in just one hour. The distance from Gwalior to Agra is 121 km. It still takes two to two and a half hours to cover this distance on a four-lane road. Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Expressway is being built for this purpose.
The six-lane road will reduce the distance to 88.40 km. It will take at least an hour to recover. This highway will pass through three tehsils of Agra district. For this, 117.83 hectares of land will be available from 15 villages of Sadar, Fatehabad and Khairagarh tehsils. Land Acquisition Notice (3-A) has been issued from Gwalior Section, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Its proposal has been made. And has been sent to the government.

The expressway will start from Inner Ring Road at Deori village and end at Susera village in Gwalior. The highway will have a length of 22 km. It will be picked up. A three meter by two meter wall will also be built. Due to this, animals will not be able to go directly on the road. Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Expressway will be constructed at a cost of Rs 2,497.84 crore. It will cost Rs 25.80 crore to build one km of road. The construction work will be completed in three phases.

Rs 972 crore will be spent on constructing the Agra-Dholpur Expressway. Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Expressway will be beneficial for the drivers. Vehicles coming from Inner Ring Road, Yamuna Expressway, National Highway-19 and Lucknow Expressway will be able to go directly to Gwalior. Vehicles coming from the New Southern Bypass will be able to cross the expressway in this manner. This will save time and fuel.
