Northern Railway is running special trains to reach home on Diwali and Chhath Puja. Due to heavy rush of passengers in Rajdhani Express, a special Rajdhani Express will be run between New Delhi and Patna. Special express trains will also run from New Delhi to Saharsa and Anand Vihar Terminal to Patna.

Anand Vihar Terminal Patna special train (04002/04001) will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 12.05 midnight on 10th November and reach Patna at 4pm on 16th November. The return journey will depart from Patna at 7 pm on November 10, November 11, November 14 and November 16, reaching Anand Vihar Terminal at 10 am the next day. There will be air-conditioned, sleeper and normal coaches.

New Delhi-Saharsa Special (04022/04021) will start from New Delhi at 3:30 pm on November 10, 11, 13, 14 and 16 and reach Saharsa at 4:30 pm the next day. On November 11, 12, 14, 15 and 17, it will depart from Saharsa at 7 pm and reach New Delhi at 8 pm. This train with air-conditioned, sleeper and general class coaches will run at Moradabad, Bareilly, Sitapur, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Siwan, Chapra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Barauni, Begusarai, Khagaria and Simri Bakhtiyarpur stations.
