UP Express Way: While reviewing the construction of expressways in the state on Friday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed to prepare an action plan to build two new expressways. The Chief Minister said that a link expressway should be built to connect Purvanchal Expressway and Agra-Lucknow Expressway. This project will connect all the expressways. Prepare and present a comprehensive action plan for this approximately seventy km long link expressway. Besides, to meet the demands of the public, it is also necessary to connect Farrukhabad with Ganga Express. Make necessary proposals by studying this topic.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Uttar Pradesh has got the status of Expressway State in the last six and a half years. At present, after dedicating Purvanchal Express, Bundelkhand Express to the country, Ganga Expressway, Ballia Link and Gorakhpur Link Expressway are being built. Deliver quality work within deadlines. The ongoing maintenance work should be completed on time to improve the riding quality of Bundelkhand Express.
Make Bundelkhand Expressway a solar highway: The Chief Minister said that it should be developed as a solar expressway. Necessary action should be taken immediately in this matter. Solar energy projects should be built on the southern slope and plantations should be done on the northern slope. With these efforts this express will become an example across the country. CM Yogi said that a budget has also been made for Chitrakoot Link Expressway. According to preliminary studies, the four-lane Chitrakoot Link Expressway (expanded to six lanes) will be approximately 14 km long. A developer should be selected for this soon.
The Chief Minister ordered to speed up the development of industrial areas of Purvanchal, Bundelkhand, Ganga, Agra-Lucknow and Gorakhpur Link Express. 11 industrial corridors will be built along the Ganga Expressway, 6 in Bundelkhand, 5 in Agra-Lucknow, 5 in Purvanchal and 2 in Gorakhpur Link Expressway. Initiate all necessary action in this regard immediately.
Increase efficiency of Ganga Expressway
The Chief Minister said that the necessary land has been acquired to connect the Ganga Expressway to Prayagraj from Meerut. Its work has started from November 2022. The target is to make this expressway available all the time by December 2024. So that in Prayagraj Kumbh 2025, tourists coming from India and abroad get a chance to travel on the Ganga Expressway. Speed up the work of Ganga Expressway by reviewing it with departmental ministers.
The Chief Minister said that the progress of Gorakhpur Link Expressway is satisfactory. Which will be a big gift for the four cities. This will provide good connectivity to Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Azamgarh and Ambedkar Nagar. The construction of Gorakhpur Link Express should be completed on time. An important bridge on the Ghaghra River under the Gorakhpur Link Expressway is ready. This will benefit the entire surrounding area.
