At 0000 UTC October 22, it was centered at latitude 12 degrees north and 56 degrees east.

A trough extends from the cyclonic circulation associated with the pressure over the Bay of Bengal to Comorin area.

In the last 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall occurred at a few places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Light to moderate rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Light rain occurred in North Punjab and Western Rajasthan.

In the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain at one or two places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, heavy rain at one or two places over Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Light to moderate rainfall may occur at some places in Lakshadweep. Light rain and snowfall may occur in the Western Himalayas. Light rain may occur in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Meghalaya and Nagaland.

North Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal will witness strong winds and high waves along the coast. Wind speed may be 40 to 50 km/hr or occasionally 60 km/hr.
