UP Season: With the arrival of winter season, Lucknow has also started shining. The temperature has also dropped due to cold winds. Maximum and minimum temperatures will remain stable till Sunday. The weather is expected to change again from Monday. That means the temperature can range from one to two degrees Celsius.

On Sunday, the air quality index (AQI) of the capital Lucknow reached 274, with air health in the 'poor' category, a jump of 88 points. The city was surrounded by fog throughout the morning and evening.

The Municipal Corporation has started sprinkling water on the roads to reduce air pollution. The dust accumulated on the road is being cleaned with the machine using anti smoke gun. The State Pollution Control Board (UPCB) has called a meeting of officers of all departments on Monday for new guidelines regarding construction work.

Today the maximum expected in Lucknow is 33 degrees Celsius and minimum is 18 degrees Celsius. The temperature may remain between 30 to 31 degrees Celsius in Barabanki, Hardoi, Kanpur, Etawah, Lakhimpur Kheri, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Ballia, Churk, Bahraich and Prayagraj. The minimum could be 18 to 16 degrees Celsius.
