Country's 1st Elevated Expressway Which Has 16 Lane Expressway & 34 Lane Toll Plaza, Know Special Things
YuvaPatrkaar : Today a new chapter has been added in the field of Indian infrastructure. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the country's first elevated expressway, Dwarka Expressway, in Gurugram, Haryana. This historic moment was attended by many dignitaries including the Governor of Haryana, Chief Minister and Union Road Transport Minister. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi shared some pictures of this expressway which has increased the curiosity about the new construction work.
Dwarka Expressway
The total length of Dwarka Expressway, built at a cost of Rs 9000 crore, is 29.5 km. Out of which 19 km is in Gurugram, Haryana. The specialty of this expressway is its elevated structure. Which will not only ensure smooth flow of traffic but will also contribute to urban beautification.
Expressway routes and important junctions
This expressway will pass through important parts of Haryana including Pataudi Road and Farrukhnagar. This will not only benefit the local people but will also connect the global city and other developing sectors.
Equipped with modern facilities
There are 34 toll gates on this 16-lane expressway which makes it world class. It also includes service roads that will act as an alternative in emergency situations or during maintenance.
Better connectivity from Delhi and airport
With the inauguration of this expressway, travel between Gurugram and Delhi will become even more seamless. Especially reaching IGI Airport will be faster and convenient. This will also benefit the citizens of NCR region.
Construction divided into 4 stages
The expressway has 4 different sections connecting various important junctions. This includes the route from Mahipalpur to Dwarka via Bajghera to Basai and from Basai to Khedki Daula. Apart from this, the proposed Global City in Gurugram will also be connected to this expressway.
