Kurukshetra :- The roadways of the district are losing lakhs of rupees daily in the name of Toll Tax. Because there is no Fastag recharge installed in the buses of the depot. Let us tell you that there are 121 buses in the fleet of the depot. Out of which 16 buses are of kilometer scheme. Fastag of these buses also has to be filled. Kurukshetra Depot recharges FASTag worth lakhs of rupees per month. Which lasts for 1 month.

Loss to the roadways department

All Haryana Roadways Workers Union Register Number 1947 says Narendra Panchal, head of Kurukshetra Depot. That in the last seven-eight days, the department has suffered a loss by double cutting the toll tax of Rs 9 to 10 lakhs. Till the fastag is not recharged, this loss will continue to increase everyday because due to non-recharge of fasttags, double rate slips are being cut in the buses. The toll tax slip from Kurukshetra to Saharanpur is Rs 450. But due to non-recharge, a deduction of Rs 890 per side is being made. Due to which the roadways are facing huge economic loss.
