Ram Rahim: Dera Sachcha Sauda chief Ram Rahim in Haryana has got a big relief. The High Court has acquitted five accused including Ram Rahim in the Ranjit murder case. In this case, earlier five accused including Ram Rahim were sentenced to life imprisonment.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has acquitted Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim in the Ranjit Singh murder case of 2002. Ranjit Singh was a staunch follower of Dera Sachcha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and one of the managers of the Dera in Sirsa, Haryana. He was shot dead 22 years ago.

Let us tell you that the special CBI court of Panchkula had sentenced all the accused including Gurmeet Ram Rahim of Dera Sacha Sauda and four others to life imprisonment in the murder case of Dera manager Ranjit Singh. A fine of Rs 31 lakh was also imposed on Ram Rahim and Rs 50,000 on the remaining accused.

Others convicted for the crime include Krishna Lal, Jasbir Singh, Avtar Singh and Sabadil.  The CBI has completed its arguments on the sentence period and the defense counsel has also completed its arguments.
