  5. 4 tbsp ghee

  7. 10 cashews
  8. 7-8 almonds
  9. 15-16 pieces raisins

To make Lauki Ka Halwa, we will first take a bottle gourd and wash it well so that the dust on the top of the bottle gourd gets cleaned.

After washing the bottle gourd, we will peel it.

After peeling the bottle gourd, yellow colored water comes out of it. So we will wash the bottle gourd once again with clean water.

Then we will take a grater and grate the bottle gourd.

We have to grate only the green part above the bottle gourd. Leave the inner white part as it contains the seeds.

If you have raw bottle gourd. Even then you leave the white part inside.

After grating the bottle gourd, we will put the bottle gourd in a pan.

After that, the bottle gourd will be cooked for 2-3 minutes.

After 3 minutes we will add milk to it.

Bottle gourd will become very soft in milk and will also cook well.

Now put cardamom powder in it.

Now we will cover it and cook it so that the bottle gourd becomes soft.

We have to cook it on low flame for 7-8 minutes.

If you want, you can remove its cover in between and see and run. This will keep the milk from sticking to the bottom

Remember if your bottle gourd is raw then it will take you about 5-6 minutes to cook it and if your bottle gourd is not raw. So it will take 7-8 minutes.

After cooking, we will remove the lid from the bottle gourd and add sugar to it and mix it. (add sugar as per your choice)

Don't skip cardamom at all because cardamom will give a very good taste to the halwa.

Even after the sugar melts, there will be water in the bottle gourd so if the bottle gourd is raw. Even then it will cook well.

Cook till the bottle gourd halwa absorbs the sugar water. Till then roast the dry fruits and mix them in the pudding.

Now we will take a pan and put two spoons of ghee in it. When the ghee melts then we will add cashews and almonds to it.

Keep in mind that we do not want to change their color. Just have to roast lightly.

When the cashews and almonds are lightly roasted, then we will add raisins and fry a little more. Our dry fruits are absolutely ready.

Now we will put two tablespoons of ghee in it because till now we have not put ghee in it. After adding ghee, we will mix it well.

We have to fry the bottle gourd halwa in ghee for 2 minutes. If you want, you can also add food color to it. This will change the color of the halwa.

After cooking it for 2 minutes, we will put mawa in it. Its test comes very well from mawa.

If you do not have mawa. So you can also use cream.

We are using 200 grams of mawa here. For now, use only 100 grams of Mawa because as soon as the Mawa is inside the hot halwa, it will melt.

After adding mawa, we will cook it for 2-3 minutes and then turn off the gas flame. We will use the half mawa that we saved while serving.

Lauki ka halwa is ready.
