Meanwhile, the dollar index, which gauges the US dollar's position against a basket of six major currencies, declined marginally by 0.07 per cent to 104.73. Global oil standard Brent crude futures were trading at $ 89.44 per barrel, down 0.67 percent. Foreign institutional investors sold shares worth Rs 1,725.11 crore on Tuesday, according to stock market data.
