Till a few years ago, this was a small lake, but due to the glacier water, it started expanding rapidly, then experts started warning about the way the water in it was increasing. And they are expanding. So in the future, if ever there is excessive rain here or a cloud burst, it will bring devastation. Now this is what happened. The concerned survey department of the Center also inspected this place and put it in the list of 14 potentially dangerous lakes susceptible to glacial lake outburst floods.

These lakes are located at an altitude of 5,200 meters (17,100 ft) above sea level. It was formed by the melting of Lonak Glacier. Then they saw this lake as a superglacial lake at the mouth of the glacier. It was identified as a largely sensitive lake in the multispectral scanner of the 1977 Landsat program.

In 1977, the area of this lake was 17.54 hectares. But after this, when the assessment was done in 2008, its area had increased by 81.1 hectares, which was shocking.
