Haryana News: The state government has prepared an action plan of Rs 126 crore for garbage disposal in Gurugram and Faridabad. Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal told. Apart from this, 15 lakh metric tonnes of garbage will be removed from Bandhwari. There are goals. That the plan should be completed by June 2024.
Municipal Corporation Gurugram has taken 47% and Faridabad 44%. Gurugram Municipal Corporation has started decentralized fresh waste processing at five locations. Beri Bagh, Badshahpur, Sector-44, Carterpuri and Darbaripur. Three operation stations have also been started at Beri Bagh, Paras Hospital and Atul Kataria Chowk for daily processing.

Additionally, Faridabad Municipal Corporation has processed 140 TPD of fresh waste at decentralized locations. And 390 bulk waste generators out of 396 TPD in Gurugram have processed waste on site. Of the 275 TDP wastes, 77 are made in bulk. Municipal Corporation Gurugram has punished 163 bulk waste generators for violating Bulk Waste Management 2016 rules. Whereas Municipal Corporation Faridabad has punished 70 bulk waste generators.
Shri Vineet Garg, Additional Chief Secretary, Forest and Environment, and Shri Vikas Gupta, Commissioner and Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department, were present in the meeting. Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Faridabad and Deputy Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Gurugram participated in the meeting virtually.

Mr Kaushal was chairing a meeting to review the progress of garbage disposal in Faridabad and Gurugram. He directed the Pollution Control Board officials to take strict action against the entities failing to control the leachate waste at the dam site.
They demanded punishment and punishment to those responsible for dumping and managing garbage in landfills in Faridabad and Gurugram. He said that delays in waste disposal or management will not be tolerated.
Shri Kaushal also reviewed the ongoing works at Mujeri site, installation of trammels and Pratapgarh landfill site. He ordered the Commissioner of Faridabad Municipal Corporation to complete the construction at Mujeri by the end of January, build the trammel and start work at the Pratapgarh site by February 2024.
