UP Pod Taxi: This City of UP Got Gift of Pod Taxi! 12 Stations Will Be Built at a Cost of Rs 641.53 Crore
UP Pod Taxi: Uttar Pradesh administration has approved pod taxi in Noida. Pod taxis will run between New Film City and Jewar Airport. The pod taxi corridor will also cover multiple areas. DPR of 14.6 km long corridor has been prepared. This project will cost Rs 641.53 crore.
There will be twelve stations on the way
The country's first pod taxi will run between Noida Airport and Film City. Indian Port Railway and Ropeway Corporation Limited plans to run pod taxis for 14 km from Noida Airport to Film City. There will be twelve stations on the road. Yamuna Authority has received the final DPR of driverless pod taxi.
Yamuna Expressway Authority (YEDA) CEO Dr. Arun Veer Singh said that the DPR has now been presented before the YEDA Board (Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority). After this the proposal will be sent to the government for approval. Work is being done in this direction after getting approval from the government.

Measures taken to improve public transport
The move aims to enhance the convenience of public transport in Jewar to reach Noida International Airport. Yamuna Authority has come up with the idea of starting Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) between Jewar Airport and Film City. Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation Limited has been entrusted with the task of preparing the DPR of the pod taxi.

Track will also be built in Yida
Yamuna Authority CEO Dr. Arun Veer Singh said that Film City is about 5.5 km from Noida International Airport. DPR has also suggested to implement it in the areas of YEIDA. Due to which its usefulness will increase. Pod taxis will operate from Sectors 21, 28, 29, 32 and 33 between Noida Airport and Film City.

YEDA CEO Dr. Arun Veer Singh said that three suggestions have been given on PPP model to develop the project. Final DPR submitted by Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation Limited, a Government of India entity. These suggestions were discussed in the board meeting and sent to the state government for their approval. The company is being selected to develop it through global tender with the consent of the state government.
