Chinese criminals in Nepal : Neighboring country Nepal is now gradually becoming a base for Chinese criminals. Many Chinese gangs active here are carrying out criminal activities like gold smuggling, match fixing, call bypass, human trafficking, ATM robbery, online fraud and foreign currency trading. These gangs are now becoming a threat to India.

According to media reports, the Department of Revenue Investigation (DRI) in Nepal has recently confirmed this. That on July 19, a Chinese gang was involved in smuggling of 60 kg of gold and this gang had transported the gold to India via Nepal. Apart from this, many loan apps are being run from Nepal itself. Due to which many people lost their lives in India. Nepal Police spokesperson Deputy Inspector General Kuber Kadayat said that Chinese tourists come to Nepal on visa. And after reaching here, people with criminal tendencies take part in crime.

Kuber says strictly. That recently there has been an increase in criminal activities of Chinese citizens. These people live here under the guise of working in the IT sector. After this, they get involved in illegal activities like gold smuggling, call bypass, match fixing etc. According to the data, 13 Chinese nationals were arrested in the financial year 2021-22, 16 nationals in 2020-21 and 42 Chinese people were arrested during 2022-23.

All of them were involved in criminal activities like call bypass, ATM sabotage, match fixing, illegal trading of foreign exchange and gold smuggling. At the same time, on December 23, 2019, Nepal Police simultaneously arrested 122 Chinese citizens and sent them back. The police had arrested him for his involvement in cyber crime.
