The minimum temperature in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, North UP and North Rajasthan is 6-9 degrees Celsius. It is 10-12 degrees Celsius in Delhi, South Rajasthan and North Madhya Pradesh.

The Meteorological Department said that there will be heavy fog in Punjab from the night of December 31 to the morning of January 2. There will be fog in Rajasthan and Uttarakhand from the night of 31st December to the morning of 2nd January. There will be morning fog in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura for the next three days.
There will be cold days in Punjab and Haryana on December 31 and January 1, the weather department said. Also, there will be cold days in Punjab from January 2 to January 4, in Haryana from January 1 to January 4, and in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh on December 31 and January 1.

Apart from this, there is a possibility of light rain in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh from January 2 to January 4.
